BAM FM are recruiting a Leisure Supervisor to join the team at the Dalkeith Schools Community Campus in Dalkeith. Working 36 Hours per week over 7 days including term time and non term time.

The Leisure Supervisor is required to assist the senior leisure supervisor along with the Leisure Manager in managing and co-ordinate all leisure activities within the campus to ensure a cost effective, client focused service. Working closely with the Management Team, the Leisure Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the centre. The Leisure Supervisor will be committed to providing a quality service for clients and customers. Effective man-management and leadership skills are required. Supporting all members of staff through professional working relationships is essential. This role will require flexible working and weekend working.


Making Possible

Principle Accountabilities:

People
• Management and development of the FM Leisure team to successfully achieve company, team and individual goals and objectives to achieve and exceed the service delivery requirements.
• Create and maintain effective individual and team working relationships with the FM team and the client and their representatives.
• Manage the recruitment and allocation of resources to ensure the requirements of the contract are met.

Operational

• Ensure that the campus leisure facilities are adequately staffed while maintaining controls on budget.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the centre is of the highest standards.
• Maintain up to date records in accordance with legislative and BAM FM requirements.
• Operate all services and facilities are available within the contract specifications to the most cost effective and efficient manner
• Achieve set targets for membership and lets.
• Create relationships with 3rd Party Lets and ensure bookings are correct and up to date within the system.
• Manage the safe handling and banking of monies in accordance with the cash handling procedure.
• Complete regular maintenance and checks on all equipment to ensure compliance with legislation .
• Assist the senior leisure supervisors and Leisure Manager to prepare and submit regular performance reports as required.
• To behave at all times with a high degree of professional and personal integrity.
• Carry out annual Personal Development Reviews of Leisure Attendant staff.
• Carry out other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time by BAM FM and client management.

Compliance
• Carry out pool water quality tests in line with Pool Safety Operating Procedures.
• Maintain up to date records in accordance with legislative and BAM FM requirements.
• Ensure safety training and toolbox talks are carried out and recorded on a regularly basis.
• Assist FM Management to lead and develop business planning, ensuring the FM budgets are managed and controlled in strict accordance with the contract and achieve savings where possible.
• Carry out other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time by BAM FM and client management.


Your team

You will be working with a ream of Leisure Assistant under the supervision of the Senior Leisure Supervisor.

• Experience as a Leisure Supervisor.
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
• Pool Plant Operators Qualification.
• First Aid At Work Qualification.
• NPMQ, National pool Management Qualification.
• Experience of Health & Safety management.
• Competent knowledge of IT packages.
• Excellent organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Willing to work towards NPLQ TA Qualification.
• Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland)Act 2007 (PVG) in relation to this type of work is applicable for children.
• Ability to understand and work to the BAM values.
