* Hours: 44 hours a week across 6 days, on an annualised basis. This will frequently include evenings and weekends.

Provide a full and professional technical support service, ensuring we carry out our production activities with flair, settling for nothing but the best. With a focus on stage, rigging & flying, the postholder will work across disciplines to assist in all technical duties related to our productions on- and off-stage. This will include get-ins, get-outs, show running of areas including stage and fly floor, maintenance of stage equipment, and general backstage housekeeping.
Working under the direction of the Technical Manager (Stage) and the supervision of the Senior Technician (Stage), the Technician (Stage) will support the day-to-day operation of the stage department and its associated infrastructure.
The postholder will contribute practical skills and knowledge in stagecraft, carpentry, rigging, and flying systems to assist in the delivery of high-quality productions and events. They will help ensure that all stage operations are carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety legislation, including LOLER and PUWER regulations.
The Technician (Stage) will work closely with colleagues across the technical team to maintain a safe, efficient, and collaborative working environment, supporting the smooth delivery of performances and events to the highest professional standards.

Ideally, you'll have most of the following:
* At least 1 years’ experience of working within a regional touring theatre stage department
* Experience at technician level within a receiving house stage department
* A technical theatre qualification or 3 years’ experience working within technical theatre
* Extensive knowledge of stage and rigging systems in a theatrical environment.
* Competence in managing LOLER and PUWER compliance.
* Experience in counterweight flying and general rigging techniques.
* Familiarity with theatre automation, winches, truss systems, and safe working at height.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to lead under pressure and problem-solve in a live performance environment.
* Excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety practices within a technical theatre setting.
* Proficiency in scenic carpentry.
* Significant professional experience in stage and rigging within a theatre or live events context.
* Demonstrated experience in supervising technical teams and leading get-ins/get-outs.
* Experience working with a range of lifting equipment and automated systems.
* Track record of working collaboratively with internal departments and external creative teams.
