T We are currently recruiting a confident and proactive Cover Supervisor to join their team from September. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are considering a career in teaching, or for someone with experience working with young people in a school or similar setting. Key Responsibilities: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and supervise classes during short-term teacher absences Ensure students remain on task and engage with learning during cover lessons Manage classroom behaviour effectively and in line with the school’s behaviour policy Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and engagement Support pupils with their learning and encourage positive interactions in the classroom Assist with administrative or supervisory duties as required within the wider school setting The Ideal Candidate Will: Have previous experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting (preferred but not essential) Be calm, confident, and able to manage classroom dynamics effectively Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be adaptable and resilient, able to work independently and under pressure Have a good standard of education (minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths) Show a genuine interest in supporting the development and learning of secondary-aged students Be reliable, enthusiastic, and willing to contribute to all aspects of school life This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a school environment, with the potential to explore a future career in education.
