The Role
:
As a Principal IT Technical Lead, you will provide technical leadership in complex and technically challenging delivery, being an integral player within the delivery teams.
Day-to-day, you will be creating the right environment, leading project teams to deliver complex solutions, and providing technical leadership within delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading project teams to deliver complex solutions using best practices, with the ability to forge strong collaborative working relationships and develop great solutions.
2. Providing technical leadership for programme, project, and bidding activities.
3. Developing network and IT staff in their technical disciplines while supporting resourcing decisions.
4. Developing design certifications, technical delivery plans, high-level documentation, design documentation, testing schedules, technical roadmaps, supporting business development, and experimental plans.
5. Contributing towards the development of the company’s strategic intent.
6. Coaching leaders and teams in new engineering processes and mindsets.
Essential experience of the Principal Technical Lead:
1. Proven experience as a respected expert with outstanding technical contributions in IT system design and delivery.
2. The ability to establish high-performing multi-disciplinary teams.
3. Previous experience leading a team performing complex engineering/technical assignments.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
5. Experience with VMware or virtualization, Microsoft, Active Directory, and the ability to refine high-level designs.

This role is 37 hours per week, based at Malvern, with hybrid working patterns available.
