Are you passionate about supporting individuals with mental health needs to lead active, fulfilling lives?
We are looking for a creative and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team in South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing the wellbeing and recovery of our service users through meaningful engagement and therapeutic activity.
Duties to include:
5. To develop a rapport with individuals to assess their needs.
6. Provide interventions with personal recovery principles in order to improve service users quality of life and to support them to do the things they want to do and live the life they want to lead.
7. Facilitate a programme of social, creative and skills-based activities to both individuals and groups which promotes social inclusion for service users.
8. Work closely with the MDT in leading on the facilitation of client centred activities.
9. To establish links with local initiatives within the framework of Building Better Lives.
10. To deliver a service that enables client’s opportunities for active rehabilitation.
11. To act as a resource of information for the individual.
12. To demonstrate positive regard and activate choices for clients.
13. To maintain records in accordance with Iris Care Group
You will ideally have experience of working in a Mental health or social care setting with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to be a motivator and engage with creativity and enthusiasm. A valid UK licence is desirable.
Please note that this role is 37.5 hours a week, working 5 out of 7 days. The daily shift pattern may vary, depending on the needs of the service, e.g. 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, 11am-7pm.
This role is not eligible for a skilled worker visa.
