We are seeking a caring, proactive, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a vibrant secondary SEN school. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in helping students with diverse needs—including SEMH, autism, and learning difficulties—reach their full potential within an inclusive, nurturing environment.
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Secondary)
Location: Southampton
Hours: Full-time/Part-time
Start Date: ASAP / September
Salary: £430 - £450 per week

What You’ll Do:
✨ Support class teachers in delivering tailored lessons suited to students’ individual needs
✨ Build trusting, positive relationships to boost confidence and motivation
✨ Assist students with their emotional regulation, social skills, and behaviour management
✨ Help create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
✨ Contribute to the overall wellbeing and development of students with complex needs
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people with SEN (minimum 1-2 years)
Passion for inclusive education and safeguarding
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilient, adaptable, and proactive attitude
Enhanced DBS on the update service
Full driving license (desirable but not essential)
