Overview
Job Shop Recruitment has the pleasure in recruiting for a Production Supervisor for a client of ours situated in Newton Abbot. Your key responsibility will be to supervise the performance of the manufacturing line in your zone, including supervising your team to ensure key metrics are met. This includes taking a leading role in Health & Safety, Continuous Improvement, Environmental issues, and Quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure that all policies and procedures of the organisation are promoted and that key KPIs are achieved.
* Developing and implementing production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet production objectives.
* Coordinating and assigning tasks to production staff and ensuring all training requirement are met.
* All aspects of Health and Safety are met and adhered to. This includes Safe standards of work, personal PPE, TPM audits and manual handling techniques, accident reporting and investigation, risk audits.
* Ensuring that quality control standards and protocols apply to a production process and addressing quality related issues that may arise.
* Coaching and Mentoring team members
* Manage training and skill gap analysis as part of daily routine.
* Promote clear lines of communication between shifts and ensure clear handovers are given.
* Promote continuous improvement initiatives
* Takes lead in organising Maintenance call-outs when required.
* Actively promote the health and wellbeing of your team.
* Provide Leadership and direction, promoting the business values and driving a positive and inclusive culture.
* Manage the day-to-day personnel and administrative functions such as, return to work interviews, training record management, recruitment, employee Inductions and other relevant documentation for recording compliance.
* Deputising for the Production Manager to cover holidays and sickness.
What's on Offer
This role would be on a 4-day week of 6am-4pm Monday to Thursday, attracting a salary of £29k - £35k dependant on experience.
