Responsibilities
You will spend the majority of your time out on site to maximise income from rent payments and other charges, balancing the need to recover rent/charges owed to Warwick District Council whilst supporting our tenants to remain in their homes by providing expert advice and financial inclusion, agreeing suitable payment arrangements for those who have fallen into arrears.
You will therefore work proactively with our tenants to support them through welfare reform, personal crisis and debt, taking ownership of accounts whilst visiting customers in their homes.
This role also represents Warwick District Council in court when pursuing legal action for the recovery of rent arrears and will be responsible for producing the court bundle prior to court attendance.
Qualifications
* Excellent numerical skills
* The ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds
* Excellent record keeping
* The ability to write clear reports and prepare court documents
* Attention to detail
* The ability to show empathy and provide support to vulnerable clients
* Experience of case management
* Housing management experience and knowledge
Work location
The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home; however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. Hybrid and office working is also available.
