This role requires excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills to undertake day-to-day monitoring activities for the Road Network Compliance team within the Security, Policing & Enforcement Directorate. Using knowledge of CCTV operation and the TfL road network, you will identify traffic contraventions and support the Section Manager in improving accuracy, quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake day-to-day monitoring activities for the Road Network Compliance team within the Security, Policing & Enforcement Directorate. Monitor video screens and identify bus lane, parking and moving traffic offences.
* Analyse, check and validate video data; identify and make decisions on contraventions and initiate processes with appropriate recommendations.
* Validate and approve decisions for penalty notice issues or reject decisions based on inadequate data or other reasons as directed by the Section Manager.
* Collaborate with fellow Compliance Officers to ensure high quality and accuracy in identified contraventions.
* Input contravention data into process software and other IT applications as instructed.
* Follow TfL policy, data protection and related processes in traffic monitoring and enforcement to ensure accuracy and quality.
* Act fairly, openly and efficiently, with the aim of increasing Road User Compliance.
* Meet quality assurance targets as discussed with the Section Manager.
* Develop strong working relationships and clear communication channels with fellow officers and other teams to enable effective partnership working.
* Support the Section Manager in preparing reports and other documents.
* Willingness to work flexibly and in new areas of compliance due to TfL and Road Network Compliance developments.
* Ad hoc duties as directed by the Section Manager and senior managers.

* Knowledge of Road User Charging, bus lane and traffic enforcement regulations, and related schemes (Desirable).
* Qualified CCTV traffic enforcement or willingness to work towards qualification (Essential).
Experience
* Experience in a similar or relevant public sector role (Desirable).
* Experience with computers, IT systems and hardware (Essential).
* Experience delivering high quality customer-focused service in a challenging environment (Desirable).
* Experience with compliance and camera systems and understanding Road Network Compliance (Desirable).
* Experience with computerised media management systems (Desirable).
* Experience working to quality assurance targets (Desirable).
* Experience in preparing statistical or other reports (Desirable).
