Key Role Purpose The Behaviour Support Worker will assist pupils with a range of behavioural needs, ensuring they feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn. Working alongside teachers and specialist staff, you’ll provide consistent support that helps pupils build confidence and reach their goals. Responsibilities Include Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings. Encouraging positive choices and emotional regulation throughout the school day. Implementing and maintaining individual behaviour plans. Helping create a calm and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO s and external agencies. Promoting social and emotional development through structured support. Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience working in a school, youth work, or SEN setting. A calm, empathetic approach and strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and behaviour strategies. Commitment to pupil well-being and safeguarding best practices. An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
