Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a respectful and supportive environment for all residents.
Duties
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
* Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment by following health and safety protocols.
* Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
* Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programmes.
Qualifications
* NVQ L2 preferred
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
* A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
