The Team
The Global Service Desk is a first-line response team fully supported to address any IT issues that may arise for our 4000+ PA colleagues, including a dedicated line for external clients. Based in Cambridge, we support users via phone, email, and in-person, delivering excellent customer service.
Individuals receive on-the-job training to resolve common queries and escalate serious issues. The department fosters a supportive network, encouraging team members to lean on each other.
The Service Desk can be the first step in your PA career. We provide tools and techniques to develop your skills, with access to training platforms. Typically, within two years, team members find their preferred specialism and may move into other areas or consulting within the wider organization.
Group Systems Team
Our Group Systems Team supports the wider firm across seven pillars: Business Engagement and Governance, Strategy and Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Data and Analytics, Enterprise Solutions, Cyber Security, and Technology and Operations. Our Service teams are within the Technology and Operations pillar, supporting users globally, including the Global Service Desk, 2nd line, Mac and Application Support, Operations, and Software Compliance.
Qualifications
* Enthusiasm for customer service, problem solving, and IT
* Curiosity about technology
* Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Additional Information
Applicants should be available to work in shifts between 07:00 and 19:00 (GMT), including weekends on a rotation every eight weeks.
We value potential over formal qualifications. No degree or certifications required—just a genuine interest in IT, a willingness to learn, and a friendly attitude. Experience in customer-facing roles like retail, hospitality, or call centers is valuable.
