Overview
A growing independent private hearing care provider is seeking an Ear Wax Practitioner / Healthcare Assistant to join its clinical team. This role is ideal for candidates with an Allied Health background and experience in ear care procedures. You will play an important role in supporting patients with ear health, identifying potential hearing issues, and working closely with Audiologists to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
Salary
£26,000 – £32,000 per year (pro rata)
Key Responsibilities
*
Perform ear wax removal procedures using microsuction and/or irrigation in line with clinical guidelines
*
Identify potential ear-related conditions and refer to the appropriate healthcare professional when required
*
Conduct basic hearing screening tests when appropriate
*
Refer patients to Audiologists for full hearing assessments or hearing aid consultations
*
Maintain accurate clinical records and patient documentation
*
Support the wider clinical team and contribute to a positive patient experience
*
Participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements
*
Previous experience in ear wax removal or working as an Allied Healthcare Professional
*
Aural Microsuction certification from a recognised training provider
*
Strong understanding of ear anatomy and hearing health
*
Excellent communication and patient care skills
*
Ability to work both independently and within a clinical team
