Rosedean House Surgery is set within a beautiful Grade II listed building, rich with heritage and deeply rooted in the local community. We will soon be undertaking a major redevelopment of the site, transforming it into a modern, purpose-driven healthcare environment, while preserving the building’s historic character. This fusion of tradition and innovation will provide a stunning, future ready space for patients and staff alike.

About the Role
As Business Manager, you’ll be responsible for the leadership, development, and performance of Rosedean House Surgery. Working closely with our Central Support Team, you’ll manage daily operations, team performance, regulatory compliance, and financial sustainability, all while driving our growth and quality ambitions. This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Manager who is ready for a challenge and to lead of the transformation of the practice with a supportive on site and central team.
You’ll play a pivotal role in:
1. Leading and growing your team through a period of transformation
2. Enhancing the patient experience
3. Maximising income through NHS contracts and private services
With support from our central People, Finance, quality and Clinical teams, this is your opportunity to shape a practice and make a meaningful impact every day, supported by the Network Operations Manager for the South.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
4. Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary site team, creating a positive, empowered culture
5. Ensure effective communication, 1-2-1s, appraisals, and development pathways
6. Champion innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
Operational Management
7. Oversee daily running of the practice including staffing, clinics, and cover arrangements
8. Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, NHS contracts and internal policies
9. Manage inspections, audits, incidents, complaints and reporting
10. Lead on Health & Safety, IT, premises and risk management
Strategic Delivery & Quality
11. Drive delivery of QOF, LES, DES, and all contract obligations
12. Ensure service quality, patient safety, and clinical governance standards are consistently met
Business Growth & Financial Performance
13. Grow the registered patient list through local engagement and service excellence
14. Maximise income across NHS funded and private services
15. Lead budget planning and financial management
16. Monitor income/expenditure and ensure robust financial controls
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
17. Build trusted relationships with patients, PCNs, ICBs, local commissioners and community groups

Essential Criteria
18. Senior leadership experience
19. Track record of successfully managing teams, contracts, and change
20. Strong understanding of NHS frameworks (QOF, CQC, KPIs, contract delivery)
21. Budget management and performance delivery
22. Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
