About Our Finance Undergraduate Programme We’re looking for five enthusiastic Undergraduate Placement students ready to put their financial awareness, commercial insight, and interpersonal skills into action. From the moment you join, you’ll be working on topics and projects that make a difference and add value. You’ll push boundaries, set new standards, and deliver outstanding work. We will be taking one student in each of the following departments. Group Controlling In this department, you will be the cost controller for several key areas of the business including our Legal, Finance & Network Operations departments. You will create budgets for these departments to track spend and work with our business partners to hopefully reduce costs. Cars Controlling In Cars Controlling you will support the work of the MB Management Team with respect of all items affecting financial performance, including all associated reporting, planning and accounting tasks. You will have the opportunity to create tools such as KPI dashboards to help steer the Sales Business. Vans Controlling In Vans Controlling, you'll support senior management with profitability analysis and financial performance reviews, gaining valuable insight into strategic decision-making. You'll also play a key role in month-end closing and forecasting processes, contributing to management KPI reporting, providing dealer pricing support, and working on continuous improvement projects to optimise our business performance. Accounting In the Accounting Department, you will be responsible for month-end closing activities for a number of Mercedes-Benz companies. You will also be responsible for a variety of other topics, for example being involved in intercompany invoice processing. Residual Value In this department, you will support with the analysing and forecasting of residual values for the Mercedes-Benz Car & Van Portfolio. You will conduct in-depth analysis and research to support decision-making, monitor industry trends and collaborate with internal teams to maximise profitability. Group Tax In Group Tax you will gain an understanding and awareness of the various tax compliance obligations of a large global brand. You will support the department with Customs Compliance, VAT, Employment Taxes & Corporation Tax.
