We're recruiting a Deputy Plant Manager on behalf of a leading global ground engineering contractor. You will initially be supporting with the delivery of a significant package of diaphragm wall construction meaning you will be working with highly specialised equipment that relates to diaphragm wall and cutter soil mixing scope.
The role is both technical (requiring knowledge and experience in managing special foundations equipment) and administrative (you'll oversee the record of interventions and data extraction, in line with project systems). Plus, you'll ensure efficient use of project resources and effective coordination.
What will you be doing?
Supervise the correct execution of the Plant and Equipment procedures with a focus on Diaphragm Wall and Cutter Soil Mixing activities.
Participate in daily team meetings and communicate any plant related issues to minimise the impact of interventions on production
Oversee the preparation of site based workshop setup: procurement of tools and consumables etc
Plan the daily and weekly checks of the equipment and record interventions
Source required parts and consumables, allocate resource, and supervise the servicing checks of the equipment as part of the preventive maintenance plan
Coordinate the corrective maintenance operations within the budget, and record both preventive and corrective maintenance details
Explore alternatives during breakdowns. Record the downtime and its causes to prepare weekly efficiency reports
Supervise the demobilisation of equipment and prepare decommissioning reports
What do you need?
At least 5 years relevant experience in major equipment maintenance on diaphragm wall and/or cutter soil mixing construction
Be fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite
What's on offer?
A salary of between 70,000 - 80,000, could be negotiable for the right person (so if you're looking for a bit more, then please still apply)
