Employee Relations Business Partner\n \nOur client, a reputable and forward-thinking organisation, is currently seeking an experienced Employee Relations Business Partner to join their established HR team. This is a key role within the business, reporting directly to the HR Director, and offers an exciting opportunity to influence and shape the employee relations landscape within the organisation. The role offers hybrid working.
The right candidate will need to travel between both their Glasgow and Edinburgh offices. \n \nAbout the Role\n \nThe successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and productive working environment. The primary focus of the position is to promote fair and consistent treatment of employees, manage complex employee relations cases, and ensure compliance with employment legislation.\nThis position requires excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, alongside a thorough understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and implement effective employee relations strategies to support a positive workplace culture\nEnsure the organisation remains compliant with employment legislation, providing expert guidance to management on all ER matters\nAdvise and support managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practice\nLead investigations into grievances and disciplinary matters, ensuring impartiality and confidentiality throughout\nPartner with managers to manage performance issues and support appropriate resolution and action planning\nFacilitate discussions between staff and management to resolve conflicts and encourage open, constructive communication \nCandidate Requirements\n\nProven experience in an employee relations-focused role, ideally within a complex or fast-paced environment\nStrong working knowledge of UK employment law and regulatory compliance\nDemonstrable experience managing ER casework, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinaries\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation\nSound judgement and the ability to manage sensitive matters with integrity and discretion\nExceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
