Overview
Procurement Lead role at Kaminsky Consulting. Our client is a world-leading manufacturer with UK and global presence. The Procurement Lead will work at cutting-edge manufacturing facilities near the Cambridge area and will manage key suppliers, review gaps, and drive cost reduction. You will collaborate with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and report on supplier performance.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate pricing, and secure favourable terms
* Maintain relationships with existing critical suppliers and identify new potential vendors
* Present cost benefit analyses on resourcing projects and lead projects to conclusion
* Analyse market trends to determine competitive pricing
* Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality standards
* Work closely with the existing critical supplier base to reduce cost through supplier workshops and visits
* Analyse product value add and manufacturing process to identify areas for cost reduction
* Strategic outlook of the supplier base, proactively planning the future structure of the supply base
* Collaborate with the Supplier Quality team to support quality performance of critical suppliers
Key Qualifications
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and negotiation abilities
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* Good understanding and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, & Epicor)
* CIPS or equivalent certification required
