Business Area: Nestlé UK&I – Coffee
Position: Customer Category Manager (6 month fixed term contract)
Location: Gatwick – Hybrid working: min 2 days per week in our office
Salary & Benefits: Attractive Salary + potential discretionary annual bonus + generous pension scheme


Position Summary

Working as part of our Commercial Development Team (CDT) within Nestlé Coffee, you will be responsible for the development, management and execution of our Customer Category Plans for a range of retailers across Mults, VRs, & W&C.


Key Responsibilities

* Building external relationships, serving as the first point of call and trusted source for Buying/Merchandising Teams for any category questions, insights, and recommendations.
* Executing Nestlé Category Strategy, personalising the strategy to meet retailer needs and generate engagement and commitment.
* Delivering the Category Drivers for your customer via the POP Vision, through adjacency and flow recommendations at range reviews and throughout the year.
* Providing best‑in‑class insight, engaging retailers with promotional insights to influence effective use of promotions, and developing, implementing best‑in‑class examples of the latest online and in‑store executions.
* Developing a deep understanding of the shopper role within your customer.
* Leading the Category agenda within the ICP process to ensure internal plans are fit for purpose.
* Monitoring industry and competitor activity to align our commercial vision with market demands in a competitive environment.

* Category or sales experience, with a demonstrable record of success in delivering growth for Nestlé & our customers.
* Strong data analysis and the ability to draw key insights along with recommended actions.
* Ability to build strong internal and external relationships within matrix and multifunctional teams.
* Understanding of customer‑centric working.
* Evidence of flexibility, agility, and initiative to solve challenges rapidly and creatively.
* Love of learning, understanding 'why?' and ability to share this both externally and internally in a compelling way.
