Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a qualified SEN Maths Class Teacher to join SEN School in Croydon, South London.
Location: Croydon, South London
Full-Time: 5 days per week
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, plus parent evenings
Salary: Teacher salaries are determined by the national pay scales
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Contract Type: Temporary with the opportunity to go permanent

An independent special school in Croydon, London, catering to students aged 11 to 18 with various Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Role Overview:
As an SEN Maths Teacher for secondary pupils (Year 7 to Year 11), you will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible Functional Skills Level Maths lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other related challenges.
You will adapt teaching methods and materials to suit individual learning styles while fostering a supportive classroom environment. Encouraging students confidence, participation, and progress in numeracy will be a key focus.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
· QTS or equivalent
· Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued in the last year)

-Hold the Right to Work in the UK
-Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
-Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
