Graduate Electrical Engineer

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer or project/business Director, you will collaborate with the Electrical and Mechanical engineers within the Project Team. You will be responsible for assisting Electrical Engineers on a selection of projects, including completing electrical design with guidance from senior engineers, reporting on workloads, and prioritizing tasks with the design lead.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assisting project engineers in advising on personnel resourcing and workload management.
2. Agreeing on design goals with project seniors.
3. Attending weekly team meetings.
4. Seeking ways to improve the efficiency and productivity of your design activities.
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will:
* Operate on multiple projects with assistance from Electrical Project engineers.
* Complete detailed electrical designs with support from other engineers.
* Perform calculations to validate designs for LV Distribution, Lighting, Small Power, Fire, and Security Alarm systems.
* Coordinate design efforts with mechanical design team members.
* Contribute to project engineering team meetings.
* Manage personal workload with support from project engineers.
* Continuously seek ways to improve work efficiency and adopt up-to-date practices.
* Provide input data and criteria to Sustainability Engineers for modelling purposes.
Technical Requirements
* Basic understanding of current building regulations, CIBSE documentation, IEE Wiring Regulations, British Standards, BSRIA documentation, and other relevant design guides.
* IT literacy, including proficiency in Office, AutoCAD, Revit, and Hevacomp.
* Training in IES will be provided; candidates are expected to work towards Member status of CIBSE/IET later in their careers.
