Our BDO Canada Offices arelooking for Insolvency Counsellors to join the Personal Debt Solutions team in-office and own the following responsibilities :
* Assist debtors and creditors, both in person and virtually, as it relates to bankruptcies and proposals
* Perform BIA Counselling covering topics including budgeting & credit rebuilding
* Review files / documents for review with client to ensure compliance with duties under their insolvency filing
* Community outreach, business development and presentations

Your experience and education
* Successful completion of CAIRP Practical course on Insolvency Counseling
* Two or more years of relevant work experience in an Insolvency or Credit Counseling or other relevant areas
* Great interpersonal skills to deal with team members, debtors, and creditors
* Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills to respond to different situations
* Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
* Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* A team player who can also work independently
