Your new role
This is a 3-month, temporary contract.
Your main role as a support worker will be ensuring the safety andfort of service users. You will be working within a 64-bed adult's care home, where service users may have physical or learning disabilities. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will take a proactive role in supporting the team whilst also ensuring the service users' needs are met. You will be required to administer medication, so experience in this area is necessary. You will be working with service users with a range of needs and from a variety of backgrounds, so you will need to be adaptable in your work environment.
What you'll need to succeed
At least 2 years' experience in a similar settingExperience and willingness to get involved and be a proactive member of the team, taking part in activitiesExperience in medication administration
Experience in dealing with challenging behaviourExcellentmunication both with service users and staff
