Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting or through home care services. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. A valid driving licence is preferred for those providing home care.
Duties
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Implement and follow individual care plans to ensure personalised care is delivered effectively.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions to senior staff.
* Foster a warm and supportive environment for residents, encouraging independence where possible.
* Engage residents in social activities and promote their overall well-being.
* Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* A good command of English is necessary for effective communication with residents and team members.
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
