Overview
Position: Housekeeper
Hourly Rate: £12.50
Working Days: Tuesday & Thursday
Working Hours: 10:00‑12:30‑14:30 (10am‑2:30pm)
Responsibilities
* Provide an exceptional, personalised room cleaning service to students by maintaining studios to a clean, healthy and presentable standard.
* Work to designated schedules and perform duties such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, anti‑bacterial cleaning of surfaces and making beds.
* Ensure facilities are respected by students and guests.
* Maintain upkeep of the premium site & facilities.
* Be on hand to deliver solutions to issues or challenges that may arise.
* Act as a point of contact for any potential incident or emergency onsite.
* Maintain waste management areas in accordance with health & safety regulations, addressing potential hazards as required.
* Use a smartphone or tablet to record and manage each studio clean, photographing before and after each job.
* Report any concerning behaviour of students that could indicate a welfare concern.
* Monitor cleaning stock levels and communicate needs to the Assistant Residence Manager or Residence Manager; assist in ordering stock to maintain appropriate inventory.
* Understand and follow COSHH regulations to protect health and safety when using cleaning chemicals.
Professional Experience
* Well‑versed housekeeping professional with experience in large, multi‑room residence facilities such as accommodation buildings, hotels or hospitals.
* Technologically astute, able to use various software and technology systems that support operations.
* Good understanding of COSHH regulations and practices.
