The role is specifically to work alongside two Partners who deal with a range of property matters including leasing, financing, renewable energy sites and general sales and purchases of land. The Commercial Property Team at Coodes have many clients who have long standing relationships with the firm and require assistance with their growing requirements and needs. What you will do: Support the senior lawyers in all aspects of their caseloads, with the appropriate supervision and training. Work across the entirety of a property matter from inception to post completion, to include drafting and preparing legal documentation, researching, liaising with clients and third parties, dealing with file set up and client onboarding, due diligence searches, inputting into report writing and dealing with post exchange and post completion matters Assist other members of the wider team that may specialise in other commercial property areas. Build relationships with our clients and contacts and explore opportunities for growth Dependent on experience, work towards managing a light case load of files and develop own knowledge and expertise Experience and Qualifications you need: Experience as a legal assistant or Paralegal (particularly in a property setting) will be advantageous but is not essential Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organisational and time management skills Capable of dealing with a broad caseload with multiple timelines High level of attention to detail and accuracy Competent IT user with the willingness to learn new systems (full training is provided) Must be able to work independently and as part of a team You will love this role if: You are a graduate and are looking for career progression You have enthusiasm for working in commercial property and interest in business and commercial matters and want to join a team who are well established and respected in the market. Hours This is a full time position. 35 hours a week Monday to Friday however we welcome applications from candidates looking for alternative working arrangements.
