Job Details
This apprenticeship is a full-time position within our Plant, Fleet, and Mechanical Services team. The successful candidate will work towards the completion of their Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanics. This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience working with a wide variety of vehicles in Council’s fleet. This role is offered as an apprenticeship and is open to new starters and continuing apprentices in 1st or 2nd year of the same qualification.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair heavy vehicles
* Carrying out non-routine mechanical repairs and servicing
* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
* Comply with responsibilities relating to the terms of the Training Contract as an Apprentice (training attendance and attainment of competencies)
* Complete a qualification in Certificate III in Automotive Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology while working in a full-time capacity

Other Requirements
* All successful candidates will be required to obtain a National Police Check and may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical check
