The Estates Team prides itself on delivering an engineering support service across the Trust to maintain patient and staff environments.
Key Working Relationships
Develop and maintain good working relationships with clinicians, departmental heads, Risk Management, statutory regulators, Fire Brigade, external consultants, contractors, and company representatives.
* Maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical plant & equipment.
* Undertake an Electrical Authorised Person role as required (Electrical bias Technicians).
* Carry out maintenance, repairs, and duties related to medical gas pipeline systems as a medical gas competent person.
* Be included on the On-Call Rota to respond to emergency and urgent situations out of hours, including emergency work outside normal hours.
* Make calls to approved Contractors for breakdowns out of hours when on-call.
* Handle major incidents such as loss of electrical services, medical gas, heating, and hot water services to critical areas.
* Assist in motivating, training, and developing the maintenance team and apprenticeship schemes, ensuring effective use of labor and materials to support the Trust's building assets and managers.
