In 2017, Joslin Rhodes set out to solve a common problem in financial advice: firms having to patch together multiple systems just to run their day-to-day operations. Two years later, the first version of the PlanHappy Portal launched, replacing the so-called "market-leading" system we'd used before.
Today, PlanHappy is its own company with a 12-person development team, growing the Portal into a complete software solution for firms nationwide, including a fully integrated case management system.
This is a great opportunity to join an established business with the energy of a fast-growing product, long-term stability, and strong benefits.
The role
We're looking for experienced Laravel developers to join us on a long-term project, with a huge scope, built the right way, using modern coding practices, a solid test suite, and a thorough code review process to keep quality high.
You'd be working alongside a talented and experienced development team, many of whom have been at PlanHappy for over 5 years.
Day to day you'll be:
* Building new features and improving existing ones in the PlanHappy Portal
* Writing clean, maintainable code, following our ever-evolving guidelines, backed by automated tests
* Shipping new functionality daily
* Collaborating with our wider team to deliver software that really makes a difference for financial advisers
We're not looking for:
* Developers who want to rush work out the door without thinking about quality
* Lone wolves who want to work in isolation
* People who see testing and code reviews as a chore rather than a part of a healthy development team
If you're passionate about writing high-quality code, collaborating with a skilled team, and working on a modern, long-term project, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your skills while making a real impact.
