Job Purpose: I am a friendly gentleman with Parkinson's who is seeking a Personal Assistant to support me with everyday living tasks such as personal care, domestic care, meal preparation, transfers and assisting me to access the community. Due to my Parkinson's I am prone to falls, when this happens I require someone who can help guide me up by explaining each step that I need to take. I also require someone to ensure that my medication is taken at the right time of day and to keep a diary of the daily tasks that have been completed.
Location: Downham Market
Details: This Position is for either one or two personal assistants, depending on candidates availability. The advert will be updated accordingly.
Responsibilities
* General household cleaning
* Food preparation: cook evening meal, prepare light lunch
* Personal care
* To assist with dressing
* To assist with transfers
* Support to access the community
* Ensure medication is taken at the right time
* Keep a diary of tasks completed daily

Essential

* Full UK driving licence and own car with appropriate insurance
Desirable
* Previous experience of working in a care role
* Previous experience of working with someone with a neurological disorder
* Willing to take up training as required
Summary terms and conditions
* The rate of pay for this position is £15 per hour.
* Mileage: 45p per mile
* Hours and days of work: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 9am-4pm. Then every other weekend. Saturday 9am-2pm and Sunday 9am-12pm. Flexibility is negotiable.
* Other duties will be discussed if/when deemed appropriate but everything that will be expected will be explained prior to acceptance of the position.
