We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an on-site role at our Heathrow Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and configuring our IT infrastructure, supporting multiple teams across the business, and playing a critical role in the deployment and testing of both software and physical systems.
Responsibilities
* Manage and configure all IT assets including laptops, servers, and networking equipment.
* Administer and maintain company networks and VPNs.
* Maintain security, performance, and availability of systems.
* Intune endpoint management.
* Manage and configure Microsoft Azure tenants.
* Maintain Azure DevOps environments, including user access and project setup.
* Assist the Development Team with application testing and environment setup.
* Support the Analytics Team in deploying and testing business intelligence dashboards.
* Work with the Solutions Team in the testing and commissioning of baggage systems.
* Collaborate with the Integration Team on manual testing and validation of baggage systems.
* Support IT infrastructure management in both on-premises and cloud environments, including monitoring, backups, and storage considerations.
* Maintain awareness of IT security principles and best practices; assist in maintaining controls under standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and UK Cyber Essentials.
Qualifications & Skills
* Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Windows (Windows 10/11) and the Microsoft 365 suite (Office apps, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams). Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Entra (Active Directory), Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP), virtualization, and basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, VPN). Familiarity with network concepts (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing).
* Infrastructure Management: Experience managing and supporting IT infrastructure both on-premises and in cloud; knowledge of Azure infrastructure monitoring, cost management, and backups.
* Security & Compliance: Understanding of IT security principles and best practices; familiarity with risk controls, incident reporting, and secure configurations.
* Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues and know when to escalate.
* Communication: Clear verbal and written communication; experience in user-facing support and documenting solutions for end users.
