About this role
Senior Research Data Scientist who will work with world‑class teams to apply statistical techniques and marketing science to business problems, especially demand forecasting, clustering and measurement. Projects involve developing mathematical models for Price and Promotion experts, creating innovative solutions using generative AI, and packaging science modules for delivery across clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Create new science‑based solutions and capture them as science modules for cross‑client application.
* Apply machine learning approaches such as regularised regression, clustering, tree‑based ensembles, graph‑based methods, NLP, neural networks on client data.
* Perform exploratory data analysis to characterise and visualise datasets.
* Develop efficient science code using Python and Spark.
* Identify new opportunities within the Data Science space for future solutions.
* Resolve challenges by following QA processes and working with senior team members.
* Ensure smooth running of projects and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Requirements
* Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Physics, Engineering or related field.
* Experience with machine learning techniques such as regularised regression, clustering, or tree‑based ensembles and ability to implement them through libraries.
* Proficiency in Python programming and handling large data volumes with Hadoop, Spark, or SQL.
* Familiarity with open‑source ML packages such as Pandas and scikit‑learn and data visualisation technologies.
* Willingness to present work to both technical and non‑technical audiences and contribute to the wider data science community.

* PhD in related field.
* Experience in the retail sector.
