We are recruiting experienced Class 1 Welders on behalf of a leading expert in the engineering industry, known for delivering innovative, efficient mechanical solutions. The client collaborates closely with partners to provide fully integrated approaches across manufacturing and engineering projects. This role offers consistent, workshop-based fabrication work using jig-facilitated MIG welding on standardised products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform MIG welding and light fabrication of metal components
* Use jigs and lifting aids to ensure accuracy and safety (no heavy lifting required)
* Interpret and work from detailed technical engineering drawings
* Produce high-quality components that meet strict quality standards
* Work efficiently to meet production schedules
* Contribute to a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop environment
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Class 1 Welder or in a similar fabrication role
* Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Reliable, quality-focused, and able to work under pressure
* Must have or be willing to take the UKVI IELTS with a minimum score of 4.0 in each section (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
Desirable:
* Relevant welding certifications (e.g., BS EN, ASME, or coded welding qualifications)
* Experience with jig-based or workshop fabrication
* Familiarity with workshop health & safety and production efficiency best practices
