Join our School of Creative Studies as a Lecturer in Fashion, Textiles, and Art and Design. This role is ideal for a professional who is deeply engaged in both their subject matter and pedagogical development, committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
1. Teach across a variety of fashion and art-related disciplines, particularly focusing on design, research/design sourcing, and fabric manipulation/textiles.
2. Deliver courses such as L2 Dip in Fashion Business and Retail, Level 2 Art and Design, and L3 A&D - Fashion & Textiles.
3. Prepare comprehensive schemes of work, lesson plans, and resource materials to support teaching programmes.
4. Utilize IT and learning technologies to enhance curriculum delivery.
5. Deliver and assess Functional Skills, integrating them into the curriculum.
6. Prepare and communicate assessment plans and schedules, setting clear expectations for students.
7. Implement the School’s policies on assessment and homework, and participate in the evaluation of programme effectiveness.
