About the Role
As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering cutting-edge solutions for rolling stock projects. From design and development to testing and troubleshooting, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of electronic systems engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development, and testing of electronic control and power equipment.
* Produce and review technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and reports.
* Conduct engineering calculations and reliability predictions.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards such as BS EN50155.
* Perform FMEA and risk assessments for electronic systems.
* Investigate system failures and identify root causes.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
* Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in electronic hardware design and testing.
* Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Seetrax XL) and circuit simulation software (e.g., Multisim).
* Knowledge of EMC design principles.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
