The role will be working in the Global Marine & Navy Service Team based in Basildon, Essex, UK, managing HVAC/R scopes of work on military vessels for the Navy worldwide. You will lead service teams, manage client relationships, oversee shipyard HVAC operations, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
How you will do it:
* Understanding and interpreting the client’s technical specifications and commercial documentation.
* Organising deliverable packages.
* Producing technical and obsolescence documents & studies.
* Consulting with the service manager and requesting resourcing based on contract deliverables.
* Obtaining quotes from suppliers and procuring equipment.
* Organising goods to be shipped and generating all relevant shipping documentation.
* Consulting with the service team daily.
* Managing the service contracts and technicians/project coordinators/apprentices.
* Consulting directly with the customer and being the main point of contact.
* Financial responsibility for projects: developing progress and financial reports for the Tyco/JCI management team; revenue/billing forecasts, managing contract cost control (cost to complete sheet), attending internal contract review meetings monthly.
* Ensuring that projects are brought to conclusion on time and within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
* Will have some travel in the UK; overseas travel may be required from time to time.
Essential
* Experience in Project Management.
* Excellent communication skills – consulting directly with the client and internal project team.
* Experience in interpreting client’s technical specifications.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
* Full UK Diving License.
* SC UK MOD Security clearance; screening provided by JCI.
Preferred
* Project Management Qualification.
* HNC/HND in Engineering (Engineering Background).
* Experience in the Marine Industry.
* Experience with MoD contracts.
* Experience in HVAC/Chilled Water Plant Industry – HVAC Role.
* 3+ years in a similar position.
