More about your role
As a Roofer, you will be expected to provide a high-quality and efficient service in roofing. You will be responsible for conducting felt flat roof work, slating, tiling, sheet lead work, flashing, and other associated trades to our domestic housing property portfolio.
This role ensures that all works are carried out on time and within the Group's policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, housing management, and maintenance. We provide a mandatory fall restraint system and training to ensure our roofers are safe when working on ladders and cat ladders. This is in addition to utilizing Tower Scaffolds, Easi-Deck Access, and Full Scaffolds when required.
You will receive a new power tool kit, vehicle, Apple iPad, and phone, as we recognize it's more than just being a roofer.
You will work independently, with good communication and organizational skills being key strengths. The role involves working in empty homes, upgrading homes, or responding to repairs in customers' homes, offering variety.
Although advertised in a specific location, you will be working in surrounding areas.
The working hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime opportunities and other benefits are also available for staff who want to learn or do more.

More about you
You should have experience in repairs and fault finding related to pitch roofs, felt flat roof works, slating, tiling, sheet lead work, and flashings, which are all essential. A basic competency in other trades such as plastering, brickwork, and some joinery would be advantageous.
* A driving licence is essential.
* You will have NVQ Level 2 in Roofing.
* Experience in domestic roofing repairs and fault finding is essential.
* You should be computer literate, as most work will be carried out on a tablet.
* This role requires a satisfactory Basic DBS check as part of employment screening.
