About the role:
We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our Maple Lodge – Home Counties Pumping team. You do not need a background in the Water industry. We welcome applications from candidates outside the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.
You will be part of the frontline operations team that covers the Pumping Stations. This role is essential, and the business relies on you. You will work in all weather conditions, carrying out a range of tasks to ensure the wastewater networks operate effectively, maintaining supply to customers and protecting the environment. Responsibilities include PPM of equipment supporting plant operation.
Key responsibilities:
* Carrying out scheduled maintenance on plant and equipment to improve resilience.
* Operating and cleaning plant to maintain operational and safety standards.
* Responding to reactive jobs following equipment failure.
* Maintaining site cleanliness and security checks.
* Working safely and following all health and safety procedures.
Location: Maple Lodge - Rickmansworth - WD3 9SQ.
Working hours: 38 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, with standby and overtime opportunities (additional pay).
Candidate requirements:
* Self-motivated, disciplined, eager to learn, with a positive attitude.
* Ownership of fault response, problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Proactive in site improvements and safety.
* Willingness to undergo safety training.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards.
* Full UK driver’s license.
Benefits:
* Starting salary from £25,000, depending on experience.
* 24 days holiday, increasing to 28 with service, plus bank holidays.
