The Opportunity:
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and operational performance of our busy Christchurch plant during our afternoon shift!
About the role:
Carrying out preventative maintenance on all machinery within the factory
Planning, prioritising and scheduling maintenance within the production team and with external sub-contractors (as required)
Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory, particularly in relation to breakdowns
Reducing costs and downtime through careful planning and continuous improvement projects. Scheduling offline maintenance during production breaks
Compliance with the Viridian Health and Safety expectations and KPIs at all times
Liaise with the Operations Manager and staff regarding equipment optimisation
Identify quality improvement opportunities and assist in the development and implementation of improvement plans
Develop, review, implement and achieve agreed maintenance objectives, including budget and cost reduction requirements
About you:
4 years + electrical engineering experience
Ideally you would be dual trade across mechanical and electrical engineering however, those who are not dual trade will still be considered
You will have great analytical and problem-solving skills
You will have a passion for safety, and a passion for operational excellence
You will be comfortable jumping on the tools hands on where required
