About The Role
The Design Project Manager will provide planning, design, and coordination support on Coffey projects and tenders. The Design Coordinator will play an important part in liaising with internal and external design consultant teams, ensuring that designs are controlled and optimized, and providing solutions that can be built safely and efficiently.
As part of the design and project teams, the role will carry responsibility for supporting all areas of design, developing practical and efficient technical solutions to deliver water and wastewater assets for both new and upgraded facilities.

Role Requirements
1. Management and coordination of the delivery of design work packages, ensuring effective communication, clear responsibilities, and full compliance with Coffey quality control procedures.
2. Management of interfaces between internal and external design resources involved in the delivery of design work packages.
3. Coordination of information between designers and relevant parties affected by aspects of the design.
4. Ensuring the design meets the Employer's requirements, with appropriate assessment and implementation of value engineering proposals.
5. Effective management of the project or tender design programme and budget, including reviewing hours charged and informing the Design Manager and Project Manager.
6. Collaborate with the project site team to deliver robust technical solutions to design issues arising on site.
7. Maintain open communication to develop relationships with clients, stakeholders, and customers.
About You
Knowledge and Experience
* An engineering degree (preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or equivalent).
* 5-10 years of experience, preferably in the water/wastewater industry.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Project.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* Full clean UK/Irish driver’s license.
