Health and Safety Manager
Bristol-based (hybrid role)
Circa £60,000 plus car allowance
Irwin and Colton are pleased to have been engaged by a global real estate company who are looking to bring onboard a new Health and Safety Manager, reporting to the Head of Health and Safety. The organisation operates across a multibillion-pound commercial property portfolio in the UK, as well as providing advisory and consultancy work to their client base (broking, surveying, management, and sales). This role would be focusing on the Bristol region, delivering operationally across the portfolio, ensuring standards, policies, and best practice are all in place for a portfolio consisting of both commercial and industrial real estate.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:
Engaging with key stakeholders to drive a positive health and safety culture, from employees right through to board level
Visiting sites, ensuring that all staff are following policies and procedures within the buildings being managed
Supporting the wider business units in the development and delivery of health and safety strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally
Assessment and development of health and safety management systems to ensure that it reflects best practice
To analyse risk across the critical working environment and then create and drive strategy to mitigate those risksThe successful Health and Safety Manager will have:
Proven experience within property or the built environment; property management would be ideal, or from a property consultancy
Experience in influencing, engaging, and liaising with stakeholders across all levels of organisations, from site through to boardroom
A NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent) and relevant membership of a professional body is ideal for this level of role, but not mandatory
Good working understanding of relevant ISO systems (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001)This is an excellent opportunity to join an established real estate company with a long history and strong heritage.
