We are seeking compassionate and resilient Therapeutic Parents to join a dedicated residential childcare team. Based in a nurturing, family-style setting, you will provide daily care, guidance, and emotional support for children who have experienced trauma.
This role follows a 6-week rolling rota of 2 days on / 4 days off, averaging 38.5 hours per week with regular sleep-in shifts (£50 allowance per night).
What You’ll Do:
* Provide high-quality, therapeutic care in a safe home environment
* Build positive relationships with children using the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy)
* Support children with routines, hobbies, education, and enrichment activities
* Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and teachers on care plans
* Participate in reflective practice sessions and training
* Maintain placement plans, reports, and contribute to assessments
* Promote resilience, recovery, and positive outcomes
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
* Experience supporting children or young people (SEMH/EBD needs)
* Commitment to trauma-informed, child-centred care
* Strong communication, teamwork, and resilience under pressure
* Flexibility for shifts (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Over 21 years of age
Desirable:
* Qualifications in Residential Childcare
* Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches (DDP, PACE)
* Understanding of SEMH, attachment, autism, or ADHD
Pay & Benefits:
💰 Salary: £13.00 – £14.50 per hour (dependent on qualifications)
💰 Sleep-in Allowance: £50 per night
