Remote COP Solicitor – £40,000 – Fully Remote
A progressive and well-established law firm is seeking a passionate Court of Protection Solicitor to join their team in a fully remote, permanent role. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in deprivation of liberty cases and Legal Aid‑funded work, looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility of remote working.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters, with a particular focus on deprivation of liberty (DoLS) and welfare cases.
* Manage Legal Aid‑funded files, ensuring compliance with funding regulations and quality standards.
* Provide expert legal advice to clients, families, and professionals.
* Draft applications, statements, and other legal documents for COP proceedings.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor with demonstrable experience in Court of Protection work.
* Strong understanding of deprivation of liberty safeguards and Legal Aid processes.
* Excellent communication and case management skills.
