An opportunity is available for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting in Moreno Valley, CA. This contract position focuses on assisting students in achieving their developmental and educational goals through tailored occupational therapy services.
Qualifications:
* Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
* Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
* Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
* Minimum of one year of recent experience in a school or pediatric setting
* Ability to pass a prehensive background check
* Continuing education credits as mandated by the state
Location:Moreno Valley, CA
Responsibilities:
* Assist in delivering occupational therapy services as directed by a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
* Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to support students goals
* Monitor and document student progress, collaborating with the OT to adjust treatment plans
* Work closely with educators, administrators, and parents to address and support student needs
* Maintain accurate records in pliance with state and district regulations
* Engage in professional development to stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy
