Overview:
Our Client specializes in sophisticated RF and Microwave printed circuit boards (PCBs) and assemblies, serving industries with demanding requirements such as Defence, Space, Aerospace, and Medical. With over 40 years of experience in the PCB industry, working on a wide variety of projects, they have the expertise to deliver complex PCB solutions, including metal-backed and multilayer PCBs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, reports, and reconciliations.
2. Support budgeting and forecasting processes across various business units.
3. Perform cost analysis and assist with pricing models for defence and aerospace contracts.
4. Monitor financial performance on projects against key contracts.
5. Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant financial documentation.
6. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, defence industry standards, and internal controls.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, and Programme Management.
8. Utilize financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms) to process transactions and generate reports.
Education & Qualifications:
1. 2:1 or above (expected or obtained) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
2. GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English - Grade B/6 or above.
3. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial modelling or analysis is advantageous.
5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. A proactive team player with a willingness to learn.
8. Previous internship or placement in a finance-related role.
9. Interest or knowledge in the aerospace and defence sectors.
10. Familiarity with financial regulations such as IFRS or UK GAAP.
