Our client is looking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen in a beautiful care home setting surrounded by stunning gardens. What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready for the next step.
* Ideally, experience working in a nursing home, care home, or similar healthcare environment.
* Excellent knowledge of nutrition, special diets, allergies, and hydration.
* Strong leadership, organisation, and kitchen management skills.
* Ability to create appealing, nutritious, and high-quality meals for older adults.
* Food hygiene and safety certifications (or willingness to update as required).

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and prepare seasonal menus that cater for a variety of dietary needs, including allergies, modified textures, and hydration requirements.
* Ensure meals meet both nutritional standards and a fine dining presentation.
* Oversee food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance.
* Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen budgets effectively.
* Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
* Work collaboratively with care staff to support residents’ health and wellbeing through tailored diets.
