Public Health Practitioner (Fixed Term – 12 Months)
North Northamptonshire Council – 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Closing date: Friday 12 June 2026. Location: Hybrid working from the Kettering office.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design and delivery of health improvement initiatives.
* Support strategic planning and innovative approaches to public health.
* Help embed the value of prevention across council services.
* Work collaboratively with partners across health, social care, voluntary and community sectors.
* Provide technical and system‑wide expertise within your specialist area (Adult Health Improvement or Children and Young People).
Qualifications
* Relevant experience in public health, health improvement or a related field.
* Knowledge of evidence‑based practice and population health approaches.
* Strong partnership working and communication skills.
* Ability to work both strategically and operationally.
* Passion for improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities.
