Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis. Supporting the Finance Manager, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and processes, and who can manage multiple tasks with accuracy and confidence. You’ll handle day‑to‑day accounting activities, maintain supplier and customer records, and help keep the internal systems running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:
* Generate and send sales invoices in line with company procedures.
* Receive and allocate payments, including checking remittances for accuracy.
* Arrange overseas payments, ensuring correct documentation and timely processing.
* Reconcile credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
* Set up and maintain supplier and customer accounts, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date information.
* Create purchase orders and match them to incoming invoices, resolving discrepancies where needed.
* Track and assign signed delivery notes to ensure complete and accurate records
Candidate Requirements for the Accounts Assistant:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good organisational and time‑management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A positive, adaptable approach to learning new processes and software
