Manufacturing Technician
Location: Birmingham
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30
Pay Rate: £13.81 per hour
This onsite role at the Protein Diagnostics Division in Birmingham involves supporting the manufacturing of world-leading diagnostic products. As a Manufacturing Technician II, you will be part of a dedicated operations team, ensuring product quality, equipment readiness, and smooth workflow execution.
Main Responsibilities
Work independently using a daily/weekly plan.
Manage materials and inventory needed for production.
Carry out scheduled tasks on equipment or assigned areas.
Perform basic data checks and process checks.What We're Looking For
A proactive person who completes work accurately the first time.
Someone who can troubleshoot issues and suggest improvements.
Good at organising work, meeting deadlines, and following SOPs.
Comfortable using computers, especially Excel.Required Experience & Education
GCSE level (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of lab experience,
OR a relevant scientific degree.
Previous lab experience is essential.
Experience planning or managing workload is an advantage.Work Environment
Laboratory-based role with PPE provided.
Handling chemicals and lifting up to 20 kg may be required.
