Field Service Technician – Overview
Day shifts – Monday to Friday. You will travel to our clients’ workshops in a designated area providing on‑site support for a diverse range of heavy‑goods and specialist vehicle platforms.
Your day starts when you start your vehicle! Your commute is from your front door to a fully expensed and kitted out Light Commercial Vehicle.
Responsibilities
* Callouts
* Preventative Maintenance
* Emergency Breakdowns
* Pre‑arranged servicing at rural sites
* MOT Preparation
* Engine work and diagnostic investigations
* Correction of running defects
* Chassis and fabrication work
* Hydraulics and pneumatics
* Improve vehicle standards
* Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
The industry is moving faster each day. Electric & Hydrogen Vehicles are now part of the present and you will be trained on the newest products and repair techniques when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or accredited through an authorised Apprenticeship.
* Class 2 Licence would be beneficial.
* Excellent understanding of vehicle technology and the ability to follow the repair process from fault analysis to completion.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and a can‑do mindset.
* Adherence to health and safety rules.
* Reliability and punctuality.
* Enthusiastic, proactive and an innovative thinker.
